That “reason” you keep giving yourself? It’s not the real one.
I just dropped a new video inside The Backroom that’s basically an honesty mirror for your business.
It’s not stategy
It’s not a content hack
It’s me asking you three very simple questions that expose the thing you’re avoiding and the excuses you keep dressing it up in.
Here’s the gist of what we dive into:
1. What are you knowingly avoiding right now?
Not the mysterious “I don’t know what to do” stuff.
The thing you do know you need to do… and still don’t.
2. What are you blaming – and what’s the real why underneath it?
Most of us stop at the polite surface-level whys:
“My tech is rubbish.”
“The house is too noisy.”
“I’m so busy.”
“The lighting’s bad.”
I’ve used them all. Including blaming Nami, the rain, the builders and a beetle at one point.
But those aren’t the real reasons.
Underneath the blame is usually fear, shame, or a pattern you’ve been running for years:
Fear of being seen.Fear of failing publicly.Fear of feeling stupid.
Fear you won’t be able to handle it if it actually works.
In the video, I talk about how I avoided filming some structured videos for a project, finally did them, felt proud…Then got told by my editor I had to redo them.
Old me would’ve put it off for weeks.
This time I took a breath, called myself out, and just did it anyway.
Because the “I’ll do it later” story was draining more energy than the actual task.
3. What are you going to do now?
This is where it shifts from thinking to moving.
Inside the Backroom, I’m asking everyone to declare one action.
Not a 47-step plan.
One move. Today. Messy if needed.
If you want to sit with these questions properly, the full video and the comment thread are inside The Back Room.
Come in, watch it, and then answer
  • What are you avoiding?
  • What are you blaming – and what’s the deeper why underneath it?
  • What’s your next step?
I’ll be in there reading and holding you to it.
PS — The Connection Reset starts 1st December inside The Backroom.
Seven days of tiny, real, zero-bullshit “be a human again” connection tasks.
Just jump into The Backroom and you’re in.
And honestly?
It’s hilarious how many of us avoid the one thing that actually moves our business forward —being human.
Wild AF, isn’t it?
