I invite YOU to join me in the challenge to take a 10 minute (or longer) walk after each meal for the next 7 days (or longer if you want!).
Walking is one of the best things you can do for yourself. This form of exercise is called Low Intensity Steady State (aka LISS).
This simple act:
✔allows your body to send some of the energy from the food you ate into your leg and butt muscles (instead of being stored in fat tissue)
✔dramatically drops your postprandial blood sugar (your after meal blood sugar - good for weight loss and overall health)
✔increases your energy levels
✔helps your body become more insulin sensitive (what we want) and less insulin resistant (what we don't want)
✔helps elevates moods
✔supports your sleep and wake hormones for better rest (important for weight loss and overall health)
✔helps to decrease your stress levels
✔helps to decrease food cravings
✔helps to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression and SAD (seasonal affective disorder)
Are you going to join me?
Let me know if you're in by commenting below and share a pic of you on one of your walks! At the end of 7 days, come back here and let us know what your experience was like and if you're going to keep it up for longer!
