I used to overthink everything. Now I decide in minutes, not months.
Before any big move, I ask myself:
1. Does this align with who I'm becoming?
Not who I am today. Who I'm building toward. If it moves me closer, it's a yes.
2. What's the worst-case scenario? Can I recover? I play it out completely. The ACTUAL worst case.
Lost money? I can make it back.
Wasted time? I learned something.
Bruised ego? I'll survive.
If I can recover, the decision becomes easy.
3. Will I regret NOT doing this in 5 years?
Regret of inaction hits different than regret of action. I'd rather fail trying than wonder "what if?"
The key insight:
As long as I pick a path, I can always adjust with new data. You're not locked in. You're testing a hypothesis.
Action kills anxiety.
Sitting still breeds fear. Moving forward gives you data.
Take enough action and it becomes statistically unlikely to lose. More shots = more chances to score.
