It looks like yesterday my clip didn’t post probably due to the servers being down. But last day and was noodling on my new Strat. Pretty proud of the progress I’ve made this month pieces are a lot cleaner than they used to be and feels good to be dedicating some consistent time to practice again.
This is a bit of a tribute to an idea and some incredible people who saw a spark and kept it going. Please accept this video as a ‘Thank You’ to the founding members who chose to join and participate in the creation of Melody 🤟 Cheers to music in its expansive possibilities! January was just a start, and we’re gonna keep it rolling! 😎
I made a post last night but it didn’t go through due to server work on Skool, so here is the post. We finally made it to the end! I want to thank everybody who decided to follow along for this January challenge as well as everybody who joined us last month! I want to give a special shoutout to @Ashton Edwin @Jayna Koskie @Guillermo Uribe @Alica T. Marie For contributing, sharing videos, commenting, and livening up this community! It has been a blast getting to connect with you all and cheers to more in this community! For my last practice I wanted to improvise and let loose a bit. It’s a longer video and near the end you can see I get lost and begin to constrain myself which created a pretty cool melody.
New guitar day for me and some fun with a new piece practicing all day but wanted to share the new find. It’s a 2015 fender special color wave that’s pretty much brand new (still had the plastic on it). Also had some special 50s style pickups in it that sound killer. Can’t wait to see what this bad boy inspires.
I have a confession. I tried to perform in this video. There was pressure to make this “the one” but that made me tense and I ended up making quite a few errors. I will call that the practice. A meta-practice perhaps- tensing up leads to restricted tone and bad timing. Overall this take was alright and the ending was nice but I realize how much more metronome I need in my life. (130bpm=too fast for now) Take your own advice Dalt.
