Belief plays a huge role in achieving personal success. Gradually over time you build skills that amplify what you could previously do and that gives you the confidence to try something new. Over time the belief will encounter challenges and a need to grow or pivot. These setbacks create resilience and a pattern recognition skill that let you go deeper and deeper into mastery. 👁️🪬

Haven’t posted in awhile mostly due to the all consuming business that is college especially as I prepare for upcoming graduate school auditions. Wanted to share the Bach and its progress which has been steady these past couple of weeks. Always struggle with this one but think I’m finally getting it down haha

As per my last post, here is the song I wrote. This piece was literally written within the past 2 hours so it’s not perfect but it’s really reflective of how I feel and what’s going on in my life.

Today I had a stimulating conversation with a good friend of mine at a coffee shop. We discussed some philosophy and psychology and the thing that stuck with me is this idea that came about of, “If I stand for nothing, I will fall for anything” While also recognizing that people need to make different choices for certain outcomes to come about. I got home and immediately started writing a song. The lyrics are attempting to grab something specific about morals and deciding which direction to push or pull, claiming that each individual is responsible for taking action in their lives. Many of us have been shellshocked by the world recently. The government, media, and circumstances. It is so polarized and politicized that often times it feels easiest to remain unmoved and to ignore it feeling hopeless about it all. I’m no revolutionary. But, I am moved. I have an opinion. And I’m firm about it. I am for the light. I am for the higher order of love and connection. I can hold the darkness, see it, respect it, and still the power that created this song tells me that we still must choose in the face of neutrality. There is something deep within me that knows which way I must aim for my future. Being totally passive is to miss that aim. I know there’s a fire burning in you. All I’m asking is that you listen to it and don’t push it away. And I’ll write the song. Fair enough? Cool. 🤟❤️❤️❤️
