Getting back into the swing of things!!!
Last night’s workout was one of those workouts where mentally… I really wanted to take a LONG break 😅 I was tired tired. But I still showed up. Upper body day. Little to no cardio. And the heart rate data tells the story 👀 A lot of people still think you have to spend forever doing cardio to get your heart rate up, improve conditioning, or burn calories. Not true. A properly structured strength workout with: • compound movements • intensity • shorter rest periods • supersets • controlled tempo …can absolutely challenge your cardiovascular system too. Almost 21 minutes in Zone 4 and over 15 minutes in Zone 5 during an upper body session is proof that strength training WORKS when done intentionally. Some of the best workouts happen on the days you don’t feel like doing it. Consistency matters more than feelings every single time.

Today is Cycling Thursday 🚴🏽‍♀️ and I wanted to personally invite any of my Georgia ladies to join me tonight at Fitness 2020 in McDonough at 7 PM! The class is only $10 with a member, and honestly… the energy is AMAZING. You truly go at your own pace, but the instructor does such a great job focusing on resistance, mobility, endurance, and strength. The music is good, the vibes are high, and the room fills up FAST because it’s that good. If you plan on coming, try to get there around 6:50 PM so you can grab a bike before class starts. I already have my gym clothes packed in the car because baby… we do not have time to waste!!!! 😭👏🏽 Also… can I just say how grateful I am lately? Life is life-ing, work is working, businesses are business-ing, families are family-ing… but we are STILL showing up for ourselves. Some of you are building careers, raising families, running businesses, managing nonprofits, healing, growing, and STILL making wellness a priority. That deserves recognition. Seriously. I’m proud of every woman in this group for choosing to master her wellness! Happy Tuesday, ladies!!!!
I wanted to check in with you all and let y’all know that even though Sundays haven’t really worked well for most people for live workouts, I still want to continue pouring into this group because your wellness truly matters to me. So moving forward, on the days that I work out, I’m going to start posting short workout clips, exercise ideas, mini challenges, mobility work, beginner-friendly movements, core work, upper body, lower body, chair workouts, low-impact workouts, and little “sneak peeks” of the type of customized workouts my clients see inside my app. One thing I really want everyone to understand is this: Everything inside my app is personalized. I would never program something for a client that their body is not capable of doing. That’s why I truly believe wellness should meet you where you are in life and not make you feel punished. As I’m getting closer to 40 myself, I’ve had to change how I train too. I don’t do all the jumping and super high-impact workouts the way I used to because recovery, joint health, energy, and longevity matter. And I know many women in this group are balancing careers, families, stress, caregiving, life changes, and simply trying to feel better in their bodies again. This group is not about perfection. It’s about mastering yourself slowly, realistically, and sustainably. Whether you’re preparing for the next chapter of life, wanting to feel healthier for your children or future grandchildren, trying to lower stress, improve your strength, gain confidence, or simply feel GOOD again… your wellness matters. And I genuinely care about every woman here. Most of you I’ve either met personally or connected with in a meaningful way, and I don’t take that lightly. So much more is coming for this group, and I’m excited to continue building with y’all. Thank you for being here and allowing me to be part of your wellness journey!!

I’ll be going LIVE tomorrow around 5:30 PM inside the Skool group and on Zoom as well 💪🏽 We’ll be hitting a lower body day, and I’ll also be giving tips and tricks throughout the workout on: • Lower body training • Cardio • Core work • Gym structure • Form and intensity I’ll be on for about 30 minutes, so come ready to move. Bring your dumbbells and if possible, meet me inside the gym with me 👏🏽 This is a great time to ask questions, get motivated, and get your workout in with accountability.
