Pinging out a room for mixing
Good morning everyone,
I've been using headphones for the past 5 months out of laziness haha. Just got setup to ping my studio room, I have some isolation blankets and foam bass traps installed in the typical areas of concern, after running a Pink noise generator, I'm finding a good sized hump at 125hz to 250hz. I also notice this is the frequency range I most notably fight to get right with mixing between headphones and monitors. Here is my question. Does a person continue on and know to cut those frequencies down a bit going forward knowing full well that band is boosted in the environment? or try and eliminate those nodes and deaden the room more? Really just seeing what you all would do in this case. Let me know and thank you in advance!
