I've noticed several times when "time" becomes an issue. Things get changed and people get confused as to what time a thing is going to happen in their location. Why don't you switch to 24 hour UTC time? That way everyone knows what time the event will be occurring even if they are traveling. People in fixed locations can simply learn their offset. Or they can simply type in... "What time is it in [ my city ] at 17:30 UTC 11/15/2026? Most everyone's phone, tablet, computers are tied to UTC and they will get an exact time. Aviation is all tied to UTC/Zulu. 2026-09-28T16:52:00Z Year-Month-Day(T=Time)Hour(in 24 format):Minute:Seconds(Zulu = tied directly to UTC:00:00) But again any search engine can convert normal spoken words. So "The show starts at 13:00 ( 1PM ) UCT on October 2nd" works just fine. If you live on east coast USA that's 9AM EDT 10/02. If you live in Madrid it's 15:00 ( 3PM )11/02 When a contest ends "at midnight" it's much more easily understood and can not be improperly calculated if the contest ends at 23:59 UCT 10/01/2026. It would simply eliminate all confusion even as time zones change through travel or seasonal standard vs daylight savings. Also it seems to me if you had an instructor in different time zone or a mentor call and one party or both need to quickly coordinate a time. Anyway just a thought. If it saved everyone a couple minutes on all the varied communications, videos, etc., it would seem worth it in the long run.

And if you want to pick up a ton of Logic tips and methods, buy her book. Sabrina really knows her stuff. She has a ton of instructional YT vids too. She just recently published a Logic for iOS book.

And to think that I started this mess 12 days ago on 9.2. It has been a very busy weekend. Moved bookshelves, corner unit and three CD shelves to the vocal area. This entailed removing all of the books (a couple hundred), CDs, and whatnot including awards from way back when, removing shelves from the carcases, move every down stairs, position, reload, relax. The good Part aside from getting it all moved is that the vocal area feels quieter. Plus I found a ton of books I no longer need. Looks like I’ll be busy listing on ebay and Marketplace during my spare time. Once the shelves were complete, it was time to take the slanted 30 space two bay oak rack down. Fortunately it’s empty, so it weighed much less. The challenge here was clearing out temp space for where it was going along with the path to get it there. The biggest challenge even though it was easy was to take the upstairs door off its hinges and go down. I suspected that I might have needed to remove one or both vertical jam pieces in the doorway. FortunArely that wasn’t the case. The next challenge was getting help to take her down. Enter my youngest step son Matthew. With his help, moving this piece was a breeze. Then again, he’s a beast. He got a full ride playing defensive end for D1 school. He graduated a couple of years ago but still works out for body maintenance. That was the weekend. Now to start populating the racks with gear. Once all is racked, it will be time to wrestle the snake (wiring harness). Even though all of the conductors and plugs are numbered and I have a master location list, It’s going to take some time. I’m hoping to get that done and test everything by Thursday or Friday. If all works as hoped for, I should be operational this coming weekend. Woo Hoo!

Things keep moving around in here. Some more than once. I have several IKEA shelves and 2 corner units. I’m in the midst of migrating them into the area that will become my vox booth sometime soon. I have read several articles stating that full bookshelves are good for sound control. I don’t know for certain when it will be complete but I see light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not an oncoming freight train. Then again. Is a studio ever really done? So here are some pics and explanations. I originally shot a video but there is too much movement and some shakiness that can cause one’s stomach to reach AKA Hurlcam. Pic 1. Slant shelf I built decades ago. It has 15 spaces per side. Still serves its purpose. Once I figure where the console is going, I’ll have a better idea where it go…along with another 26 unit rack. Pic 2. These shelves will be migrating downstairs to the vox area. I can’t call it à booth yet per se. Pic 3. Looking from the vertex down one ray from where the drums will live. Pic 4. My console which is yet to be moved.along with my MiniMoog atop a Westlake BBSM-10. That’s a very good jazz base copy. There is a Strat of the same type to the right of kit. Pic 5. My Baby. 1967 Fwnder Tremolux and two bandmaster 2 x 12 cabs. I don’t remember if I’ve said this before but…I bought the lower cab at a garage sale in LaGrange, IL for $5 bucks. It was in good condition. I figured for $5 it was worth it, even if it was empty. I paid the guy running the sale with his wife. I asked why so cheap. He said they were selling everything to move, even stuff that belonged to their son. The son never picked it up. When I lifted it to go in the car, it was heavy as hell. Hmmmm. Got it hom, laid it face down, opened up the back and saw a JBL D120 and an EVM12. Best five bucks I ever spent. Pic 6. my newly modified bass rig. Top head is a Crate B150. These were good amps in the day. This one needs to be recapped. Below that is a Sunn Coliseum Bass head. 320 watts of raw power. This thing is Loud as hell. Next level down is a Crate BX410. 4 x 10”. I bought it two weeks ago for $60. The bottom box is a Peavey 115 Black Widow. It sounds good. A friend came over a couple of days ago with a ‘75 Gibson Grabber and a 64’ Precision. He’s a much better bassist than me. He put it through the paces. Passes with flying colors.
