Mixing Loud
Some EDM producers have stems or groups of stems near 0dB (without clipping) to be in what they call the “sweet spot” of many plugins and then lower gain with the 1st plugin in master chain in same project session. With DAWs having plenty of headroom, what do you think of this vs mixing at lower levels? This goes against a lot of what is taught but I've seen a lot of successful producers work this way.
