The White House just asked OpenAI to slow down its newest model GPT 5.6 release
GPT 5.6 won't be available to everyone right away.
The government wants OpenAI to share it only with select partners first, and approve access one customer at a time.
The interesting part? Anthropic has been doing this voluntarily with Claude Mythos since earlier this year.
Now the government is asking OpenAI to do the same thing.
The reason is simple, these models are powerful enough to find and exploit software vulnerabilities faster than any human.
That's a real risk if it gets into the wrong hands.
First it was Claude Mythos. Now it's GPT 5.6.
Are the most powerful AI models slowly moving out of reach for everyday businesses?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
