Gemini Is Getting a Major Upgrade for Small Businesses

Google has announced new Gemini features that aim to help small business owners save time and grow faster by turning Gemini into an AI assistant that understands their business.

What's Coming?

Google Business Profile Integration

Once available, you'll be able to connect your Google Business Profile directly to Gemini. This will allow Gemini to understand your business using information such as:

Customer reviews
Customer questions
Search performance
Calls and direction requests

With this integration, you'll be able to ask Gemini to:

Analyze your business performance
Draft replies to customer reviews
Update business hours
Create posts and seasonal announcements for your Business Profile

Business Notebooks

Google is also introducing Business Notebooks—a dedicated workspace where Gemini remembers your business context.

Business Notebooks will help you:

Stay on top of unanswered customer questions
Get suggestions for pricing and marketing improvements
Analyze business trends
Generate brand-consistent marketing content
Plan promotions and campaigns faster

Instead of starting from scratch every time, Gemini will remember your business context and provide more relevant, proactive assistance.

Availability

Google has started rolling out these features globally in phases. If you don't see them in your Gemini app yet, that's expected-the rollout is gradual, and it may take some time before they're available on your account.
