So you've found a customer who needs their trash bin cleaned, you hit your intro out the park, walked them through the process of getting their bins cleaned (features & benefits), took them to price, and then closed them on a monthly plan. Life seems great and you are super happy to get the sale so you start signing them up. You sign them up but once you try and get a card on file, the customer freaks out, thinks your a scammer, and then shuts the door on your face. THIS IS THE WORST CASE SCENARIO Let's go over how to check the customer out, schedule them, and get a card on file. You have to be transactional. Step #1 is going to be to get as transactional as possible when checking the customer out. Obviously you will need to double check the customer's address as well to make sure the correct house and bins will be serviced. Step #2 Enter the information. Put which plan the customer wants, how many bins they have, when their trash gets picked up, and explain if their bins will get cleaned that afternoon or the next day. To have a happy customer you need to make sure you set proper expectations upfront. Step #3 Enter their first name, last name, email, and phone number. Explain that they will always get a text notification the day before cleaning and when the driver is on their way. Show them the price they will pay and put in any promo code or discount if necessary. Check the "Agree to terms and conditions" box and then hit proceed to checkout. Step #4 Looking down at your phone and appearing busy (do not look directly at them), ask them "will it be debit or credit for the first one?" After that, keep looking down and close your mouth. Don't say anything. They will either reply with either "debit" or "credit" and then go and get their wallet or card. If they reply with "credit" or "debit" but aren't going to get their card just ask them "do you have it memorized?" Most people obviously don't so then they should go leave and grab their wallet. Step #5 Once you get a card, put in the card number, expiration, code, and zip code. Give them back their card and then hit the green "pay now" button.
