Instead of blindly pulling a random card from a deck today, I chose a very specific card from a specific deck to work with: the Ace of Wands/Fire from the Dreams of Gaia Tarot deck by Rayvnne Phelan. I love how she uses different dragons for the aces in this deck. You know you can pick a specific card if you want to, right? Your daily cards don’t need to be random. When I was walking my dog today, I was thinking about the fiery energy that we’re experiencing right now (with all of the talk about the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Fire Horse) and how motivating it is. Personally, I’ve been getting more done this week than I did probably all winter long. I have SAD (seasonal affective depression), so winters are a bit rough on my entire being. Being in Austria probably exacerbates the problem because the sun just doesn’t show up regularly from November to about March — it’s usually grey and cloudy— and the lack of sunshine triggers my SAD. Anyway… the sun was out today, so I took my dog for a walk and took advantage of soaking in a few rays and I thought about the return of the sun and the return of feeling motivated again. Because I was feeling the fiery energy, I thought that working with the Ace of Wands was quite on point. It also fits with starting this group—the initial creative force and motivation needed to fuel the (hopeful) success of the group. What do you think of the Ace of Wands? Do you need to channel a bit of its power for your endeavours? Let me know in the comments below! 👇🏼
