I didn’t feel good today. I’m pretty sure it’s mostly allergy related. I’m Petsitting this week and hubby drove me (not feeling good and his car is a hybrid and gets better gas mileage). I quickly pulled before we left (I woke up at 10:30 am) and I’m pretty sure this is telling me the same thing I’ve been getting. No biggie. Came home and fell asleep for 5 more hours. I am starting to feel better. Sitting outside at my fire pit before heading back inside tonight.

It's Spring and I am thrilled! The wild flowers are starting to pop up again, and my lawn looks like a little bouquet! We have LOADS of dandelions and daisies all over the place. Dandelions are so interesting! People sometimes associate the flowering phase with the sun, the seeding phase with the moon, and then the phase where the seeds spread as the stars. Additionally, because dandelions go through definite phases, they can represent transformation, personal growth, and evolution. They are also very hearty plants. Dandelions can survive some pretty harsh conditions and they pop up (and survive) in some of the most unbelievable places, like cracks in the cement. Dandelions are resilient and determined. They are strong. Even though many people consider dandelions to be weeds, they are probably one of the most well-known flowers that we see in our lives. We play with them as children, making dandelion chains, rubbing their pollen on our skin to give ourselves a yellow hue, and we blow the seeds to make wishes. These flowers can almost bring us back to the joy and innocence of our childhoods. What do you think of dandelions? Do you have any experiences or associations with them that you'd like to share?

Animals are one of the most common symbol-systems I work with. They can convey so much information. Think about the characteristics of different animals. Are they known to be pack animals or solitary creatures? Are they highly intelligent? Do they fly or swim -- or both? Animals can pop up in so many ways as well. You can see them "in the wild" or on your TV. You can use animal symbolism as a form of divination, too!
