Welcome to Careers with Health Conditions 👋
I'm so glad you're here. I'm Imelda from Loftus-Webster HR, a career coach who works with people who are done fitting their life around work that doesn't fit them anymore. This community exists for anyone who is: — Feeling stuck in a career that no longer feels right but not sure what to do about it — Building a career whilst managing a long term health condition — Ready to start thinking seriously about what comes next — but needs a bit of support and a safe space to do it What you'll find here: — Weekly posts, prompts and resources to help you get clear on your career direction — A space to ask questions, share where you're at, and hear from others in the same boat — Access to my free mini course: Find Your Career Direction — Regular lives, Q&As and coaching content — all designed around real life, not corporate jargon This isn't a space for toxic positivity. It's a space for honest conversation about what it actually takes to build a career that works for the life you have. Your first step: Introduce yourself below 👇 Tell us: 1. Your name and where you're based 2. What brought you here I will personally read and reply to every single one. Welcome aboard. Let's get to work. website: www.loftus-webster-hr.co.uk

5 ways to protect your energy at work when you have an invisible disability 🔋
Most productivity advice wasn't written with you in mind. Here's what actually helps: 1. Time your hardest tasks wisely Know when your energy peaks and schedule the hard stuff when you have more energy. Save admin and emails for low-energy windows. 2. Build in recovery time Transitions between tasks drain energy too. Even 5 minutes between meetings can make a big difference. 3. Say no to the "maybe pile" Every uncommitted task sits in your head and costs energy. Decide quickly, do it, delegate it, or drop it. 4. Set a stopping point and stick to it Overworking to prove yourself is real. But pushing past your limit today steals from tomorrow. 5. Ask for what you need before you're struggling Requesting adjustments from a place of crisis is harder. Advocate for yourself while you still have capacity. Which of these do you struggle with most? Drop it in the comments 👇
