I have been a little distracted these past few months, especially with Microsoft, It all started from an editing tool on PowerPoint. When i wanted to remove the back ground from a picture, i would use the editing tool (as you may have seen a few of my picture of Coach Shane in a chefs hat, or the "Luckin" logo behind Coach Shane 🤣).
Well my trouble started when my editing tool was blocked by the copilot AI, but the copilot doesn't work in my region. This stopped me and i was unable to do any editing and it needed to be fixed. I sent an email 3 months ago but i didn't get any answer and the problem then appeared on my second computer, it was so frustrating and there wasn't a way around it. I then seeked advice from the great orical "YuanBao" and explained my predicament, Yuanbao then gave me two email addresses and wrote out an email with certain associations mentioned in it. This got Microsoft's attention and very soon got back in touch with me and wanting to know what the problem was, then they arranged to call me and assist with my problem. They were taking screen shots and videos of this problem, I even had the team manager of the escalation team involved with this problem.
Incidently, communication was the best due to some having very bad Indian English (B, P and T's not very clear/ needing lessons from Coach Shane)
They went into the settings of the program to try and turn it off but that didn't work, they then changed my region and application to see if that would fix it but still no joy. We tried a restore of windows 11 in the hope that it would fix the problem but it was still there! They knew it was a program fault because i had two different devices with the same problem (being on the same account), I was getting very tired of the constant calling, screen shots and taking videos and not really having any progress.
Then out of the blue, my wife's device had the same problem (also being on my account), this really did cripple us and there was nothing we could do. That night me and my wife tried various things to get her account back to normal, i even took her off my account in the hope that it would fix it (me being the blame for the fault 😇). We ended up uninstalling the Microsoft office and re-installing an older version which did the trick, now i have something to throw back at the escalation team and that we had more progress with a few hours which was much more than what they had in two months.
The escalation team then tried uninstalling Microsoft office on my main device and then re-installing it to see if it may have been a downloaded bug in the system, but guess what, the problem was still there! While all this was going on, my other device decided to repair itself and work properly 🤬. I wrote a very angry email to the team leader saying that they are taking too long and that the devices are actually starting to fix themselves with it taking too long. They said that my case is very important as they will have other people in China with the same problem,
The escalation team then decided to do a complete re-install of windows 11, saving my files and making a boot drive ready. We wiped everything from my computer and then started with the re-install of windows 11, but we were stopped by my device having security blocks in place. The escalation team then asked me to contact my devices company to get them to help, they gave us and helped us get the computer to accept the re-install. I wrote a really angry email to the escalation team leader saying that i am now in a worse place than when i started and i have waisted so much time and lost so much money, it would have been cheaper to have just bought another device and installed WPS! The next day the escalation team contacted me again and we started installing windows, but then the computer just locked up halfway through and we couldn't do anything with it. My wife called the company again and they said that they will have to have the computer to manually install the drivers and windows, by this time i was spitting teeth and swearing down the phone to the escalation team 🤣. (the locked screen picture below)
The escalation team kept asking me to do different things to unlock it or break away from the locked screen, they even wanted me to sent them a picture of the locked screen! After about an hour of trying various things we managed to unlock the screen and get the device to install windows and then i could pass the controls over to their team to install the rest of the programs including Microsoft office. Then we tested it and it finally worked properly and i could edit pictures again, they will call me again a few times to make sure that the problem doesn't come back. Hopefully i won't get any other issues because this took from start to finish 3 months. I am still trying to return my programs to the way they were and finding that many of them have been updated with more features to confuse me!
