In the year 2022, the world is overcrowded, polluted, and running out of food. Most people survive on artificial food products made by the Soylent Corporation. Detective Frank Thorn (Charlton Heston) investigates the murder of a wealthy businessman and slowly uncovers a shocking truth about the company’s newest product: Soylent Green.

As the investigation unfolds, the film explores themes of overpopulation, climate crisis, poverty, and corporate power. Dark, tense, and disturbing, it builds toward one of the most famous reveals in movie history.
