What was the best gift you ever asked for as a kid?
When I was a kid, my family didn’t have much money, so I never expected birthday presents. The only thing I truly wished for was to have a bedroom of my own—a quiet space where I could study, sleep, and dream. I knew no one could give me that gift, so I pushed myself to study hard, go to college, and find a good job.
Now I rent a two-bedroom apartment, and having my own room feels like the best gift I’ve ever given myself. It reminds me that even though I grew up with very little, I can create the life I want through my own hard work.
