When you're "out of sorts," what usually helps you feel better? When I’m out of sorts, I usually feel mentally and physically drained and feel hollow, sometimes I just think life is meaningless. Then I’d spend a whole day reading fan fiction of Demon Slayer on Archive of Our Own. Honestly, I think the ending of Demon Slayer felt way too rushed and left so many loose ends. I was deeply left with a lot of unresolved feelings. Countless fan fiction have filled in those blanks with heartwarming stories, easing my regrets. Frankly, these works lifted me up and reminded me that the meaning of life is to embrace the world around me. They make me cherish every single day more than ever.

Do you find it easy or difficult to say "no" to people? It’s much easier for me to say "no" now when I feel uncomfortable, but before I started working, I found it really difficult. When I was a child, my parents often told me that if I refused other people’s requests, they would think I was a rebellious girl and wouldn’t like me. Because of that, I suppressed my true feelings for a long time and always tried to please others. However, after I started working and earning my own money, I became much more confident and learned to respect my own feelings and boundaries. Now, I’m able to say "no" whenever I need to.

If someone made you uncomfortable, would you speak up right away? Whether I would speak up right away depends on the situation. If my friends made me uncomfortable, I’d probably tell them directly, like saying, “No, please don’t say that again,” because I know they care about my feelings and would understand me. However, if it was my supervisor who made me uncomfortable, I’d probably stay silent or make my point in a roundabout way. From my experience, telling my supervisor directly that she had upset me probably wouldn’t end well. She might hold a grudge, and I’d have to deal with the fallout for weeks.

What helps you relax after a stressful week? Well, if I had a particularly stressful week, I can imagine that I’d become a ball of frustration by the end of it. I’d probably feel exhausted and a little cranky. The one thing that could really help me relax is treating myself to some expensive fruit that I wouldn’t normally buy. Sometimes I’d buy a box of American cherries, and sometimes I’d treat myself to a durian. I believe that working hard is meant to create a better life, and enjoying some high-quality food reminds me that my efforts are worthwhile. Sometimes a simple treat can make me feel rewarded and give me the motivation to keep going.

What's one household item you couldn't live without? I couldn't live without my premium rice cooker. It can make incredibly delicious rice thanks to its advanced cooking technology. To be honest, I'm a total rice junkie, and I'm even willing to spend quite a lot of money on high-quality rice. If I go a whole day without eating rice, I feel like something is missing, and the day just doesn't feel complete. Sometimes, a simple bowl of freshly cooked rice can completely make my day, so my rice cooker is definitely something I couldn't live without.
