"I think someone logical, like Monica, is more likely to give better relationship advice, because logical people tend to analyse problems realistically, and that helps us make decisions rationally. For example, if I were rich and my boyfriend was very handsome but poor and had no motivation to improve himself, Monica might suggest that if I married him, I would probably have to offer more financial support. She might also remind me that a man’s looks fade quickly, and in the long run, I would always be the one making the effort for the family. Such an analysis would definitely help me think my choice through more carefully."

What’s something silly or embarrassing that your friend or partner has said in public? Did it make you laugh? About five years ago, one of my friends and I were having dinner in a nice restaurant. While we were talking about our future plans, she said she should get married because she was at the right age, as if a person is supposed to do certain things at certain stages of life. I couldn’t help laughing and said, ‘Then you should die when you reach your life expectancy, right?’ It was so silly to think that you have to follow a path designed by someone else. She fell into deep thought after hearing my words and admitted that she had never considered living life on her own terms. In the end, I encouraged her to reflect on what she truly wants in life and to pursue it.

If someone cut you out of all their photos like Janice did to Chandler, how would you feel? Would you laugh or get mad? Have you done it? Well, actually I haven’t done anything like that before, but if someone did such a thing, I would probably just let it go. Someone who doesn’t cherish me doesn’t deserve my love. Maybe I would spend a few minutes feeling sad and wondering whether I had done something wrong. After that, I’d tell myself to forget it and not be affected by such an unpleasant issue. After all, there are so many beautiful things in the world that I can enjoy, right?

Well, to be honest, I’ve never done anything like that myself. But if someone cut me out of all their photos, I don’t think I’d get angry. I would probably just laugh it off, because in my view, a person who doesn’t value me doesn’t deserve my love or attention. Of course, I might feel a little hurt for a few minutes and ask myself whether I had done something wrong. But after that brief moment of sadness, I’d remind myself to let bygones be bygones and not let such a petty action affect my mood. Life is too short to dwell on negativity, and there are countless beautiful things in the world that are worth my time and energy. So in the end, I’d choose to move on and focus on the positives.
