China In Your Eyes

A few months ago ,I met some foriegners,they are from diffetent countries.We talked a lot.Every time when we parted,I would ask each of them the same question:what's the diffetence between the China you see now and the China you previously imagined?-which I call it ''China In Your Eyes''.
Part one:
I met three English people,one couple and their friend,two ladies and a gentleman.They are from England.I learned a new expression from the wife:this flower has three petals or we can say 'three petals make a flower'.The gentleman looked very familiar,then I remembered who he looks like-a famous actor:Hugh Grant! I told him,he laughed loudly,then he said if he were Hugh Grant,the lady beside him must be a younger one! Uhhh,he was so humorous,but should it be like this?Anyway,that was a pleasant time.
When we were standing on a tower,looking into the distance,the wife shouted Ioudly:so many buildings!Hearing this,an idea came into my mind,then I asked them this question:what's the differece between the China you see now and the China you previously imagined?The wife said she originally thought that China was very poor and backward,she had never thought before there will be so many tall buildings in China now,that is truly amazing.-But honestly speaking,what she saw-the tall buildings,in my eyes, are just ordinary buildings, not particularly tall.It looks that the China now,is beyond their imagination.Indeed,it is!
China has developed so fast,now,it's wholely a different China.
When we parted,I sent each of the ladies a silk scarf as a gift.Of course,they happily accepted the gifts.I said welcome to China to them,and wish them a nice trip.
