"If you're not tracking, you're just guessing." πŸ’₯
Amanda dropping another truth bomb in today's lesson πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½
I haven't been tracking my food the past few days, and I definitely feel more of out of control and out of touch with my body and its rhythms. This has been an unusual week, and an unusually hard one, and my body is paying the price. Yesterday, I spent most of the day sitting with family and yet, the emotional and mental toll of the past few days manifested in my readiness score. My body needs rest.
In the past, I might keep pushing. I might still try to get a heavy lift in or push on my cardio. Today, I rest, and not just because I'm traveling today but because I know the rest is a necessary part of the recovery.
Tomorrow, I'll get back to tracking my food. I'll be home and have more control over my choices. I'll also be back to ramping up my cardio load, with eyes on improving my fitness. And in March, I've got a check-up appointment scheduled to retest my LDL levels to see if my dietary changes are making a difference.
Whether it's in the daily reality checks of calorie counts or weigh-ins or the retests after months of dedicated focus, the data is where you see if your efforts are actually paying off. I've got goals and this is how I'm being real about my progress.
