Quote of the Day
It takes what it takes.
This quote is so big that I am using it again. It is the title of a book, and an advocacy for Neutral Thinking.
If you haven't been exposed to the Positive Thinking mindset, I want to let you know that there are huge benefits to positive thinking, positive mindsets, and visualizing success over being realistic or what is very easy to get to from there Negative thinking.
In the Book "It Takes What It Takes," by Trevor Moawad, there was a very significant adaption to this Positive thinking mindset.
If you are in a rut, struggling, or just fighting through something that is difficult it may be easy to listen to that inner voice that can lead us to think overly Negative.
Now, think about this as a car. Reverse is negative, and Drive (or forward) is positive. If you have ever driven a manual you know that it is very bad for the transmission to go from Reverse straight to Drive. It is important to shift to Neutral first.
To think neutrally, it is important to focus the things that we are doing and have done to prepare us to be successful in the task that we are pursuing. This is significant because by shifting to this mindset, we allow ourselves the space to then shift to positive.
While it is easy to listen to the DJ in our head that tells us all of those bad things and can even replay our negative outcomes on repeat to get us thinking negative. It is just as important to realize that we are thinking this way and in turn shift to neutral. Replace the DJ with our own commentary, and focus on the reality of the situation. To focus on the things that we are doing to lead us to the success that we desire.
Shift to Neutral to help yourself shift to Positive, if you find yourself thinking Negatively.
Have a Great Day!
