Boring
I heard a really interesting point the other day. The difference between good at something and great at something lies in the willingness to do the boring, basic, fundamentals within the given field.
This is great news for the people who are overwhelmed by all that getting fit entails. The reality is not that you need to do anything wild or anything that it takes years to master.
What it does mean is that getting started is more than half of the battle. Being willing to stick with the boring, and doing so consistently over time will produce better results than doing most of what the fitness influencers are doing.
What boring thing are you willing to do today to keep you on track for life-long movement?
For me:
1- 100 body weight shifts
2- 10 get ups (literally going all the way to the ground and then getting all the way to my feet)
3- I'm going to do more but these boring things will help me keep my foundation.
