The community has grown
Hello everyone - we've had a few new members in the past couple of days, so I thought I would be fun to get to know each other a little more. If you see this post, please hit reply and answer the following questions (or just make a comment) 1. Are you currently teaching using any type of Technology? (from a digital whiteboard to AI) 2. What is one thing that you would like to know more about when it comes to Learning and Technology? 3. Have you read any good books lately on teaching and/or learning? What was it?
Welcome to Sept 2025
Back to school? For some of you this is the month - others have already returned. Back to Skool? Well - I’m not sure if you can call this “back” - because this month really represents the first month of this community. An exciting start to what I plan to work towards making a valuable resource for anyone that joins. Skool represents an interesting opportunity to form a real community around those of us that want to use Educational Technology to improve teaching, learning, and productivity. It’s the first time that I’ve found a place that I think such a community can actually be built and thrive. Previously, I thought about Facebook groups - but they never really gained much traction for me - and I didn’t like the interface, advertisements, and general functionality of them, Here on Skool, it seems that by paying the $9 a month (or $99 per month as the community grows) - I’ll be able to better serve and support a true community. So - if you have joined and are reading this - welcome. As I write this - it’s just me here, but I’m optimistic for this September start to what I hope will be a worthwhile place for all.

Still Building - today's experiment
I tested the calendar functionality with a solo coffee chat - just talking to myself :) I'm going to now look at putting some courses up.

Building this Community
I’m excited for the future of this community. At the moment, I am building out the resources and courses that will eventually become the place to develop and build your EdTech career. What to expect: - resources - new templates, guides, and tools to help you build your skills - Courses: training on the sills you need to succeed - Community: live events and seminars - Coaching: one-on-one opportunities to meet and talk about your specific needs.

Time Awareness - you can't manage what you don't measure
New video today - on Time Management. I've always found it challenging to manage time - juggling a lot of priorities and tracking progress. I've tried it all - journals, habit trackers, paper scheduling. I've started using a great time-awareness tool that helps me understand where my time is actually going - and then helps me plan and be more aware of it. Video? Of course!
