The Entire Madinah University Arabic curriculum!
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I know a lot of us want to understand the Qur’an directly, or dive deeper into Arabic for the sake of our deen — but it’s hard knowing where to start, or what resources are worth our time. I’ve spent a while trying different things and recently compiled a list of resources that helped me the most — both free and paid (many are beginner-friendly too). I hope it helps someone out like it helped me, In Sha Allah. I've got many more resources to help you out, that I will share with you all In Sha Allah.

Step-by-step Guide (Part 1)
Salam everyone, there are a lot of new members in the community so I thought I'd post a guide on how to perfect your Arabic. This is good for all levels! First thing to know about Arabic: it's NOT to be memorized, it's TO BE FELT. And feeling comes from understanding the language so well that it becomes second nature. How does one achieve that? Arabic is *NOT* complicated, contrary to popular opinion. It's actually VERY SIMPLE. Here's a quick step-by-step guide: 1// Abjadiyya - Alphabet / RESOURCE: https://www.thearabicalphabet.com/ VIDEO: https://youtu.be/TLUorNOWBEk The Abjaddiyya is the only thing you need to memorize. It's a fixed set of 28 letters, obsess over them for a few days, how they sound and how they look. 2// Harakat & Tanween - Short & Long Vowel Sounds / VIDEOS: https://youtu.be/IR884nVX_Bs, https://youtu.be/o4ncxTyNbqk These are only 3 sounds! Any of the 28 letters can be pronounced with these sounds: Ah, Oo, Ee. So a letter K can be pronounced something like: Ka, Ku, Ki. And tanween is just the same sounds with "n" at the end, so: An, On, En - and they just come at the end of nouns. Get these sounds down and move on, this should take you 1h, you can go over that to cement them but move on quick. Once you're ready, you should be able to read: فَعَلَ? You've read your first word! And you barely know anything about Arabic, that's the gift of Arabic and it will keep on giving as you move forward. Find Part 2 of this post to get continue (might not be ready once you read this).
For Beginners, Where/How do I start??
This is what I usually tell people starting from zero, start in order of: - Alphabet + pronunciation - Harakat - Basic sentence structure (how harakat are used on the ending of each word) - Basic grammar (Present, Past, Imperative) - Word morphology (forms 1-10) - Begin reading with harakat - children books (build vocabulary, explain sentence structure) - Begin listening to cartoons (spacetoon) - (build vocabulary, improve comprehension, repeat what they say) As the date of this post, "word morphology" is under works and reading/listening is part of the weekly sessions in the calendar and the exercises we do (example here) *Note:* check the Arabic Basics pack - there are some extra lessons like definite article and personal pronouns This should be your guide, and the community is here to support with anything you need! ✊
