Rules / Housekeeping
We are not doctors, nor can we give medical advice - If something hurts, if you are in pain, if you are light headed, please see your medical professional. I don’t want the responsibility of us telling you what is wrong, you go on about your day, and it is way more serious, and needs to be looked at. Keep the discussions to health / wellness / improvement. This is the main thing I struggle with with Facebook groups. People love drama. They love to drop a bomb, then sit back and watch jusg to watch the stress they cause. They don’t care about the group at all, but they certainly enjoy destroying it. No discussion of politics, religion, or anything else divisive We all have been in groups where this happens, and all hell breaks loose. Keep this group free of that please. You know from being in other groups what topics will splinter a group. If you see something, report it privately to the admins If you see something that is questionable, report it, and let me decide. If I get more than one report, I will probably just delete it, and maybe say something to the offender. If it is a repeated issue with a certain person, then I might have to delete them from the group. Be positive! Spread the love. My child like vision is this is like Disney World. You are in a bubble here. It is full of love and support from the crazy world we live in. We need hope, and I want the members to come here in that low time, and recharge to make progress. No self promotion. Please don’t spam the group with self promotion on businesses outside the group. I have spent hours and lots of hard work building this group. Have fun! Make this group what you need and want. Support each other. Let’s change ourselves, and pull each other along with us.

Categories
I wanted to give you a map of the group, and what I envision. I am always open for change, and improvement. Across the screen, you will notice categories. I did these specific ones to make things easier to find, but agsin, as members join, and the group is used, these are open to change, received, more added, or some combined and deleted. The categories and what I picture under each: All- Skool sets this one up for us. If you want at the end of the day to scroll through, and see all that happened today on the group, this is the place for you. Then the categories are broken down more specific. General Discussion - This is for anything about our journey. I would keep the discussions group specific to health amd weight loss. I noticed in Facebook groups, one little topic can divide a group so quickly. Sometimes, the author of the post or question is asking an honest question, but it can divide a group so quickly if it catches fire. Introductions - This is for new members to come into the group, tell us who they are, tell us their hopes and dreams health wise. I picture this as a new person entering a party. They walk in, introduce themselves, we introduce ourselves, then the party starts with a new member added. I want them to feel the love and support the minute they walk in. Challenges - This would be the area to discuss the current challenge we are working on. Any details about that specific challenge, prizes if we decide to add that. I want a place where we can meet in there to all come together, and all move together. Wins- I I added this category first. I thought if someone wanted to add they had lost weight, or their a1c is down or they drank all 8 glasses of water for the day, this would be the place for it. Now that I have the challenge category, maybe the wins need to be posted in there. I am open for discussion. Tips and tricks - This is where we could post just general ways to help others. I included a lot of mental things that I used to change my way of thinking. They are not specific to a challenge or win. They just help you think differently, and make progress.

Affiliate links - how you can help me, and yourself !
One thing I want to do is let you bring your families, friends, chat friends, friendly strangers. I want you to be rewarded for this. From what I can understand, once we get a few members into the group, and the group is paying for itself, I can flip a switch, and turn on affiliates. What does this mean? Let’s say the membership is $19. If I turn on the affiliates link, then each member gets their own specific affiliate link. When you give that link out, and someone joins, then you get credit, and Skool keeps track. Now let’s say, if I give 10 percent off for each referral, after 10 people join, your membership to the group is free! At first I was thinking this sounds very multi level marketing, like I am building a tree, and all that. When I researched further, I found it is not. It actually helps grow the group. You are giving the link to fun, helpful people that you want to help, and be part of the community. You get a real discount for each one of them that joins. You help yourself financially by a reduced membership price monthly, while helping me grow the group without using paid ads. I have read some groups don’t do this as they feel this is money being taken away from the owner. I see it differently. Yes, I lost part of, or all of your membership. However, I gained new followers in the process that more than make up for that.

Welcome!
Welcome to my group! This has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I just couldn’t find the right platform to build my community. Skool feels like home, and the right place to be. Welcome to this group, and welcome to the first step on a new, and improved you.
