We are not doctors, nor can we give medical advice - If something hurts, if you are in pain, if you are light headed, please see your medical professional. I don’t want the responsibility of us telling you what is wrong, you go on about your day, and it is way more serious, and needs to be looked at. Keep the discussions to health / wellness / improvement. This is the main thing I struggle with with Facebook groups. People love drama. They love to drop a bomb, then sit back and watch jusg to watch the stress they cause. They don’t care about the group at all, but they certainly enjoy destroying it. No discussion of politics, religion, or anything else divisive We all have been in groups where this happens, and all hell breaks loose. Keep this group free of that please. You know from being in other groups what topics will splinter a group. If you see something, report it privately to the admins If you see something that is questionable, report it, and let me decide. If I get more than one report, I will probably just delete it, and maybe say something to the offender. If it is a repeated issue with a certain person, then I might have to delete them from the group. Be positive! Spread the love. My child like vision is this is like Disney World. You are in a bubble here. It is full of love and support from the crazy world we live in. We need hope, and I want the members to come here in that low time, and recharge to make progress. No self promotion. Please don’t spam the group with self promotion on businesses outside the group. I have spent hours and lots of hard work building this group. Have fun! Make this group what you need and want. Support each other. Let’s change ourselves, and pull each other along with us.

Categories
I wanted to give you a map of the group, and what I envision. I am always open for change, and improvement. Across the screen, you will notice categories. I did these specific ones to make things easier to find, but agsin, as members join, and the group is used, these are open to change, received, more added, or some combined and deleted. The categories and what I picture under each: All- Skool sets this one up for us. If you want at the end of the day to scroll through, and see all that happened today on the group, this is the place for you. Then the categories are broken down more specific. General Discussion - This is for anything about our journey. I would keep the discussions group specific to health amd weight loss. I noticed in Facebook groups, one little topic can divide a group so quickly. Sometimes, the author of the post or question is asking an honest question, but it can divide a group so quickly if it catches fire. Introductions - This is for new members to come into the group, tell us who they are, tell us their hopes and dreams health wise. I picture this as a new person entering a party. They walk in, introduce themselves, we introduce ourselves, then the party starts with a new member added. I want them to feel the love and support the minute they walk in. Challenges - This would be the area to discuss the current challenge we are working on. Any details about that specific challenge, prizes if we decide to add that. I want a place where we can meet in there to all come together, and all move together. Wins- I I added this category first. I thought if someone wanted to add they had lost weight, or their a1c is down or they drank all 8 glasses of water for the day, this would be the place for it. Now that I have the challenge category, maybe the wins need to be posted in there. I am open for discussion. Tips and tricks - This is where we could post just general ways to help others. I included a lot of mental things that I used to change my way of thinking. They are not specific to a challenge or win. They just help you think differently, and make progress.

What I envision for a challenge
I know the word challenge can seem scary. I remember challenges at the gym. The worst part was weighing in in front of everyone. You are always bigger than you want to admit. Then, everyone’s reactions to the numbers. Then the stress starts. You watch everything you eat, and how you exercise because you know that weekly weigh in is coming. I picture it a more loving, calm, and rewarding process in here. I do picture you weighing in, or getting bloodwork done. You will need to do that to establish your baseline. It is private however. It is you in the privacy of your bathroom. It is you at your doctor’s office with just them and you. I don’t want you to feel like you have to share your starting numbers here. You can if you want, and you want the group to support you at that moment. You can keep them quiet also. What I do want you to share is daily wins. I picture in the wins categories doing a daily post if you drank your water, and you can comment. I want you to celebrate going to your favorite restaurant, but getting back on plan the very next day. Celebrate your wins, and allow the group to pick you up if you feel a low. Also, if the scale or bloodwork has improved, and you can feel comfortable, you can share your starting and current numbers to show your progress. How I see the challenges working is as follows, but I am very open to change. In 2026, we would start: Challenge 1 - January 6th- March 28th. Break week March 29th. Challenge 2 - April 6th - June 27th. Break week June 28th Challenge 3 - July 6th - September 26th Break week September 27th Challenge 4 - October 5th - December 24th or 26th Break week December 27th Now what does this mean? I picture this group starting together on January 6th. In the days before, you can learn how to work weights, cardio, or just moving into your schedule. You can decide how you will start eating different, how you will meal prep, how you will manage portion control. On January 6th, we will start posting our wins for the days. We will discuss our struggles, so the group can help you succeed. We will talk about things we need to improve our journey. The group will move together, and support each other in this movement. We will be there if you are challenged with anything that might impede on your success

Affiliate links - how you can help me, and yourself !
One thing I want to do is let you bring your families, friends, chat friends, friendly strangers. I want you to be rewarded for this. From what I can understand, once we get a few members into the group, and the group is paying for itself, I can flip a switch, and turn on affiliates. What does this mean? Let’s say the membership is $19. If I turn on the affiliates link, then each member gets their own specific affiliate link. When you give that link out, and someone joins, then you get credit, and Skool keeps track. Now let’s say, if I give 10 percent off for each referral, after 10 people join, your membership to the group is free! At first I was thinking this sounds very multi level marketing, like I am building a tree, and all that. When I researched further, I found it is not. It actually helps grow the group. You are giving the link to fun, helpful people that you want to help, and be part of the community. You get a real discount for each one of them that joins. You help yourself financially by a reduced membership price monthly, while helping me grow the group without using paid ads. I have read some groups don’t do this as they feel this is money being taken away from the owner. I see it differently. Yes, I lost part of, or all of your membership. However, I gained new followers in the process that more than make up for that.

The plan for this group, but open to change
I have been adding tips that I can think of today, so there is some content when coming into the group. I just want something of value so you can see what I am about. Where do I see this group going? Where ever the members take it honestly. My loose plan is having a community focused on helping each other along their health journey. I hesitated putting tips up today, but it felt good adding something to my new passion. In no way, am I trying to make this all about me, with me standing on a soapbox, and telling you you have to fo this, and follow these steps. I just wanted to provide some helpful tips that you could use, and adopt into your journey. As far as working out, cardio, or moving, we are all going to be on different levels. It is important to support all levels, and offer encouragement. At 390 pounds, a major win for me was walking into Target without taking a break. As far as eating, I am not concerned about a specific eating plan. I think portion control, different recipes, and doing better each day are what I’d important. If one person wants to do carnivore keto, but another wants to do grilled chicken and salads, I just want everyone to celebrate those daily victories for each other. One thing I did learn on my journey is setting small goals. This is a lifetime journey. Thinking about eating better and moving for the rest of your life can be overwhelming. Breaking that into smaller goals is so much more rewarding to me. I would like to do 4 challenges a year. By challenges, I don’t mean anything too over the top. I just like the group to have the same start date, and an end date, and all of us working, and supporting each other along the way to a better version of our self. The first week of January to the third week of March is challenge one. The first week of April through third week of June would be challenge 2. The first week of July though third week of September would be challenge 3. The first week of October through Christmas would be challenge 4.
