This is one of the most impactful things I teach founders. Because here’s what I see: You’ve got the skill. You’ve got the offer. You’ve got the results. But you don’t pitch high-tier clients. You stay in the middle of the market. Why? “It’s easier.” “More comfortable.” No. It’s worthiness. You don’t feel like you deserve to be in executive spaces. You feel like an impostor when you get there. So you self-select out before anyone can reject you. Here’s the shift: The flyest person in the room? They’re usually the most insecure. They just hide it better. You’re feeling your way through business. It’s time to own your way through. As children of God, we are worthy of it all. The room. The rate. The revenue. Ambiguity Is Comfortable. That’s the Problem.
There’s a comfort in not knowing exactly who decides what. Nobody has to say no. Nobody has to be wrong. Everyone stays “involved,” and nobody is actually accountable. That comfort has a name: ambiguity. And it’s quietly running more companies than most leaders would ever admit, including some in this community right now. A company on the verge of acquisition that quietly falls apart in due diligence, because buyers realize nothing actually runs without the founder in the room. The founder who can’t separate who they are from what they built. The leader who’s so available, so reachable, so “always on” that nothing ever moves without them. None of these are talent problems. None of these are strategy problems. They’re comfort zones wearing a business suit. Naming the real problem means naming who’s responsible for it. And that’s uncomfortable, because someone has to actually own the decision, the outcome, the risk. So companies stay in the fog instead. Busy. Active. Successful-looking. Stalled. Because when the vision is plain, when it is written, seen, and owned, everything that follows moves with intention. That is the standard we build to here. You Are Safe Here. That means something specific in LOD. It means you can come here without your highlight reel. You do not have to have it figured out. You do not have to pretend the pressure is not real. You do not have to perform strength you do not feel today. Some of the most powerful leaders in this community walked through the door carrying things nobody else could see. Cashflow pressure they had not told their spouse about. Team problems they did not know how to solve. A vision so clear in their spirit but so foggy in execution it kept them up at night. This is the space where you can say that out loud and find people who understand, not just because they read about it, but because they lived it too. What is shared in LOD stays in LOD. You are safe here. This is a Faith Space. We honor God in how we build. That does not mean everyone here looks the same, comes from the same background, or is at the same place in their walk. It means we believe your assignment was written before you arrived at it. It means we believe the vision you are carrying is not a coincidence. It means we operate with the conviction that you were assigned before you were ready and that the gap between where you are today and where you are called to go is not a sign that you missed something. It is the space where the work happens. And we do that work together, in faith, with intention.
