Context: I do DBR and FBA for gym owners, today I got off a call with a guy who I was selling my DFY DBR upfront for £750 with a guarantee of 30 members back or your money back. he understood the value, he was happy with the price, but because I only had video testimonials for PT studios, CrossFits and not commercial gyms, like his, he only saw it as theory and not proven.
Therefore he basically said I'll pay you £750 after the 30 members and not before. this was very unexpected, I iterated the importance of the guarantee + tried to see if it was a smokescreen for price, he said he'd still do the same even if it was £375 (half).
Must just be fear ay?
He said he pays staff members after they've done the work, so why should he have to pay me before.
Not only do I need a good margin of setup fee for the DBR, but getting the money only to lose it for not hitting the guarantee is the psychological motivation I need to ensure that I'm putting 100% into service delivery.
"If you're so confident in your guarantee, you would let me pay you after the service"
