Did y'all know that Edgar Allen Poe and Mark Twain had to self-publish their own books?
I was editing my podcast today, and my speaker mentioned that no one wanted to give them a chance, so they self-published their books. Then everyone wanted to sign them once they saw their success.
He also mentioned other books that were self-published first:
- Purpose Driven Life
- Captain Underpants (50 mil sales later, everyone wanted to publish it)
