3 Things You Can Do NOW to Move Your Book Forward 📚✨
➡️ 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻. Before you spend months writing, validate the idea first. Amazon is a search engine, and readers are constantly searching for solutions, entertainment, inspiration, and answers to problems. Spend some time this weekend looking at book titles, covers, customer reviews, categories, and keywords in your niche. Pay attention to what books are already doing well, what readers are complaining about, and what seems to be missing in the market. Some of the BEST ideas for chapter topics, positioning, and subtitles can come directly from reading reviews. 📖 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸. A lot of people wait until their book is “done” before talking about it, but creating visibility early can actually help motivate you to finish it. This weekend, create a mockup cover in Canva, brainstorm title ideas, or post about your writing progress online. The moment you start visualizing your book, it begins to feel REAL instead of just another idea sitting in your notes app. ✍️ 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 1𝗸 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 If you’re targeting a 30k word book, consistency matters more than disappearing for months trying to write the “perfect” manuscript. Most of us are building books while balancing jobs, kids, businesses, relationships, and everyday life. The goal is momentum, not perfection. And remember… you can always edit later, rewrite later, and improve later. But you cannot improve a blank page. Even writing 1,000 words this weekend moves your book one step closer to becoming real. So…Which one are you committing to this weekend? 👀

I was going to wait and produce my book with my students in my class, but I think I’ll finish two books this weekend!
Friday Sharing is Caring
It’s time to put yourself out there. Share whatever you’re working on or proud of right now. This community is full of creators, authors, and entrepreneurs, and sometimes the best thing we can do is help each other get a little more visibility. 💡 IDEAS ON WHAT YOU COULD SHARE: • Yourself and what you do • Your Skool community • A book you're writing or recently published • A project you're building • A shoutout to another member • A video, post, or resource • Affiliate links (yes, those are allowed) The goal is simple: help our members get seen. Just one request so this stays valuable for everyone. 👉 1 RULE: If you share something, please also leave a thoughtful or helpful comment on someone else’s post. Support goes both ways, and when we all participate, the whole community benefits. Now let’s see what everyone is building 👇

Let's continue to support @Gemma Coles through her book launch week! Feeling overwhelmed by AI? Think everyone else is ahead? If you’re confused by Copilot, ChatGPT, or AI inside Microsoft 365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook - you’re not alone. Most “AI for beginners” books overcomplicate things. This one doesn’t. No jargon. No tech speak. No long courses. Just clarity, confidence, and real-world results. ➡️ BUY THE PAPERBACK FOR ONLY $9.99

Stop Overthinking Your Book and Just Publish
One of the reasons I personally love self-publishing with Amazon KDP is because your book does NOT have to be perfect before you hit publish. A lot of new authors get stuck overthinking every little detail and delaying their launch because they feel like everything has to be flawless from day one. The truth is… you can always improve your book later. With Amazon KDP, you can go back in and update: - Your manuscript - Your book cover - Your listing description and keywords - Your A+ Content This means your first version does not have to be your final version. As you learn more, improve your branding, better understand your audience, or gather feedback, you can continue optimizing your book over time. The ONE thing that gets locked in on paperback publishing is your book title and subtitle, so make sure you spend extra time thinking through that part before publishing. But outside of that? Your book can evolve. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop waiting for perfection and just get your book out into the world. You can improve it as you grow. 🚀

This is so true but careful on changing too much on the art or kdp will deem it a second edition. Which is not a bad thing actually! I’m doing a second edition right now that includes more ai art!
Amazon KDP Book Review Best Practices
One thing that surprises many new authors is that getting book reviews on Amazon is NOT just about asking people to leave reviews. Amazon heavily monitors reviews, and if something looks suspicious, the review can get rejected or removed. Here are some book review best practices: ⭐ Don’t leave a review the same day you buy the book: If someone purchases your book and immediately leaves a review within minutes or hours, it can look suspicious to Amazon. It’s better to wait at least 5+ days after purchasing before leaving a review. ⭐ Reviews can take time to appear: Some reviews show up quickly, while others can take several days to process. If a review disappears or never posts, Amazon may have flagged it. Sometimes the reviewer can edit and resubmit the review to get it approved. ⭐ Don’t use AI-generated reviews: Amazon has become much stricter about detecting fake or low-quality reviews. AI-written reviews are more likely to get filtered out or rejected. Encourage readers to write honest reviews in their own natural voice. ⭐ Avoid asking people in your household to review your book: People sharing the same address, Wi-Fi network, payment methods, or Amazon Household connections can trigger review issues. Even legitimate reviews may get removed. ⭐ Don’t do review swaps with other authors: “You review mine and I’ll review yours” violates Amazon’s review policies and can put both accounts at risk. Amazon monitors suspicious reviewing patterns between accounts. ⭐ Verified purchase reviews usually carry more weight: A review from someone who actually purchased the book through Amazon tends to look more trustworthy than a non-verified review. ⭐ Short reviews are completely okay: A review does NOT need to be long to be helpful. Even 1–3 honest sentences can make a difference. ⭐ Avoid overly promotional wording: Reviews that sound like advertisements can sometimes get flagged. Genuine reader experiences tend to perform best. ⭐ Focus on getting REAL readers: The best reviews come from people who genuinely wanted the book in the first place. This is why building an audience and targeting the right readers matters so much.
