I used to struggle with getting up and out of bed, even if I was awake I still wouldn't get up, i'd lay there sometimes for hours, sometimes all day.
When I was struggling with my mental health, this poor habit of staying in bed really made things worse, at one point when I was younger I didn't leave my room for nearly 3 months.
What did I do... I set myself a challenge.
As soon as I woke up, I'd sit up. it progressed
As soon as my alarm went off, id set myself the task to be out of bed within 5 minutes. This simple act, allowed me to kickstart my day and not waste any time by laying around.
(The lazy day is now a luxury).
