As I have been in a 4 year period of awakening, I grow less tolerant of collective illusions; of false realities that society expects participation in. Christmas and the majority of holidays are a fantastic example.
In every public space I am in, I am subjected to Christmas music that even dates back to the 30’ and 40’s. Religious carols, jazz, pop and so on. Music that is expressive of an immense love for a man named Jesus and his baby manger birth story. Not only are the stories of his origin of birth, location and date woefully inaccurate, it’s completely fabricated and has been fabricated in a methodical way in order to manipulate those of an older faith, paganism, or the old ways. We have no historical data that suggests Yeshua’s birth occurred on this date nor is there any mention in the Bible. But what we do know is that it was carefully chosen as well as the traditional displays of Christmas trees, wreaths and more to make it easier to convert people of the old ways into Christianity in order to make it “familiar” to them which is why religions across the world share similar stories. For the sake of familiarity and conversion.
For me, I am at a place where participating in false realities that have been deliberately constructed out of manipulation to have dominance over a group of people is not an option. This does not mean I do not celebrate Yeshua as a master teacher. I celebrate him as I do all other master teachers or great Avatars who have incarnated to support global consciousness shifts.
What I find unconscionable is a display of humanitarianism, public love of thy neighbor (unless they are brown), lyrical devotion that is seasonal and an abundance of gift showering that all placates to exhibitionism and holy displays that are quickly forgotten after the new year when business Q1 metrics need to be met and traffic resumes. This is more than ingrained culture that is outdated, it’s a system of control to support capitalism and corporations. Want to test my perspective? Who is responsible for the way Santa is publicly perceived from his Germanic origins? Coca Cola!
Waking up doesn’t mean letting go of traditions, it actually means going back to the origin of these traditions before the corporate structure of religion molested them.
So with that, I bid you a Merry Winter Solstice and may these dark & cold nights bring you clarity or perspective of yourself as a spiritual being shrouded in Maya. May you see with the fresh eyes of an unlearned child and may you question everything that you have ever known about the world and about yourself. That is where magic lives.
