20 Minutes ...
Yesterday, at the Inspiring Talks event, I shared how my ADHD brain (and long-ass To Do List) requires I move multiple projects/tasks forward on a daily basis and I do that 20 minutes at a time (and yes, I use a timer).
For example, every day I dedicate one full hour to learning. Right now, that looks like this:
  • 20 minutes reading "Who We Are," a book by the late great Senator Murray Sinclair who was a very wise and revered elder along with a Senator and a judge. His wisdom adds to mine and his words are a joy to read.
  • 20 minutes reading "Internalized Oppression - The Psychology of Marginalized Groups." This book changed my life when I first read it years ago. I have decided to reread it because, as my first book says, "The book hasn't changed but I have."
  • And finally, I watch 20 minutes of an Alex Hormozi video. I am presently working my way through his 7 hour compilation of his many videos, clips he chose to be the most helpful. Because his videos often invoke action and understanding in me, they are best consumed in small, actionable bites. Link below if you are interested.
One hour a day and I am left with so much more to offer those I serve as a speaker.
And from a business perspective, people ask how I get so much done in a day, week, month, or year. This is how. Every project gets at least 20 minutes a day because even baby steps get you across the room.
Works for me because this is how I have maintained my 6-figure speaking business for more than a decade. Sharing in case it might work for you.
Here's the link to Alex's video that I am currently consuming (with many more on my Watch list). It's called "If you want 2026 to be the best year of your life, watch this ..."
