Navigating injuries 🧭
Happy Tuesday friends 😎
While we know Fitness has a ton of benefits, there is a very real risk of injury when practicing exercise…
Case in point, last night at my Broomball game I pulled my hamstring in the first half.
It’s not a bad pull, will probably heal up in two or three days, and I want to give some perspective on how I personally navigate injuries.
First and foremost, my wonderful wife is an occupational therapist and gave me a protocol to help it heal quickly. Rest, ice, compression, elevation, and good quality nutrition and sleep will help me heal quickly.
With this, I also have a ton of momentum with exercise being on day 60 of 75 Hard, so I will modify my workouts for the next few days.
For my outdoor workouts, I will walk on flat ground.
For my indoor workouts, I will focus on upper body, core, and stability.
Just wanted to share a reality of fitness and exercise, and remind you that even if injuries do occur, it doesn’t need to stop your progress.
Let’s make it a great day!
