(I got this email from Lara Acosta which I guess many of you know her)
A brutal drop in impressions for every single creator on the platform.
Drops in impressions up to 90% for some people.
I’ve gotten hundreds of questions around my opinion on it.
And well, I have a few thoughts.
Let’s start with the technical ones…
The real reason why the algorithm has changed:
More users on the platform, less fabricated reach from LinkedIn to draw people in like they did earlier in 2024. LinkedIn has re-optimized to serve you to connections rather than to an algorithm like on other platforms.
Meaning that your content needs to be valuable to the people in your network, NOT others.
Solution: spend time manually growing your network (adding more connections) so your content reaches more people faster and therefore can be seen more.
So what do you guys think of once again growing the network and most importantly relevant network manually?
Has anyone here systematically working on this?
