I’m going for the Full Marathon again this year with only 28 days of training, and Austin is joining me 🙏🏻
Here is my basic plan for building the Impossible version of myself most capable of succeeding in this venture:
1.) Lose as much weight as possible to make myself lighter for each step, especially on the prosthetic side (27 lbs down since 8/25).
2.) Daily journaling/meditation (I will expand on this massively in subsequent posts).
3.) As many miles as possible from now til 10/12 (logged 5 miles on my farthest run so far).
I had absolutely no intentions of attempting the full this year, I haven’t ran at all since the marathon in 2024, and especially with all my effort focused on the 500 lbs Squat this year.
But I’ve always signed up for the Full every year since I failed it in 2023 just in case lol (if you know me, this will make total sense to you 😂).
The thing is…that 500 lbs Squat changed me.
I didn’t come out from under that bar the same man, and even as I limped my first laps around Civitan Park in the early days of this training block, the only words going through my head were
“I could run a Marathon right now…”
Welcome to The Impossible ❤️🔥
