Why most HYROX athletes stall 6-8 weeks out!
Hey guys! We are now 5 weeks away from Bangkok Hyrox and 8 week out from Brisbane. This is the phase where people either level up or start second guessing everything. Volume has built. Fatigue is there. The race feels close enough to create pressure but far enough away that you still feel like you “should” be doing more. And that’s usually where mistakes creep in. The athletes who improve in this window don’t suddenly double intensity or chase sessions. They tighten the structure, they protect recovery and execute the plan as written. They fuel properly so the work actually lands. This is exactly why structured builds matter. The 12 week Hybrid Build I’ve put together is designed so that this phase feels intentional and fueling becomes a support tool, not a guessing game. If you’re 6-8 weeks out from something, ask yourself: Are you still building with control or reacting more emotionally now to the timeline and panicking? Comment how many weeks out you are from your next race! I’m curious 👇 (and it doesn't have to be a Hyrox).

Mindset Mondays.
Hello all! Well well well what an absolute blast the last two weeks! Racing and exploring Japan was super cool but I’ll save that for another post. But what I did want to talk about was how much it reminds me how much structure matters when life, travelling and training both get busy. What keeps things moving forward in those phases isn’t hype or discipline for the sake of it but having a plan you trust. When structure is in place, you don’t waste energy deciding what to do or questioning if you’re doing enough. You just execute, adjust where needed, and stay consistent. This is something I see all the time in hybrid prep. Progress comes from clear planning and commitment, not from waiting to feel “ready” or motivated every day. So a question for you guys! Where could a bit more structure help you right now, in your training or outside of it?
Happy delayed new year! 🙏🏽
Hey team 🤍 Quick one from me! I want to apologise for being a bit quiet in here over the last couple of months. Truth is, I’ve been going through some pretty big changes behind the scenes. Some of them slowed things down more than I expected, and I didn’t show up here in the way I normally do or want to. But those changes weren’t a stop! They were a transition. And they’ve actually been laying the groundwork for some big plans I’m building for Hybrid Endurance Coach so this will be of more value for you long term. I’m excited to be back in here properly, sharing more, and bringing you along for what’s next! I’ll drop a video below talking through my nutrition book, why I created it, and how it fits into everything moving forward. Thanks for sticking with me guys! Genuinely means a lot 💛
Happy delayed new year! 🙏🏽
Merry Christmas HEC fam 🎄
As we wrap up another year of training, racing, and learning, I want you to pause for a second. 2025 has been a big year for a lot of you. Physically, mentally, emotionally. And the fact you’re here still training with intention matters. As we are into this Christmas period, I want you to keep three things in mind: 1) Be kind to yourself with food: Christmas is not a “write-off”. But it’s also not the time to micromanage every bite. Food over the next few days is: • Fuel • Culture • Connection One meal does not define your body. One week does not undo a year of consistency. Enjoy the meals, eat slowly, prioritise protein when you can, stay hydrated. 2) Appreciate the people around you: Training matters. Goals matter. But so do the conversations at the table, the laughs, the quiet moments, and the support systems that allow you to chase big things in the first place. 3) Start thinking about 2026 (without pressure). You don’t need a full plan right now, but ask yourself: • Who do I want to be as an athlete next year? • What habits actually moved me towards my goals and growth this year? • Where do I need more patience, not more intensity? Big goals are built from small, repeatable actions. Rest, eat, move gently, reflect, but enjoy this Christmas period. 🎅
