The HuRU Crew - an Origin Story!
OK now... hello my funny, fantastic, extra-special, wonderful, super-sparkly HuRUs! I have been traveling the lands sharing the HuRU Crew story far and wide... and as a result, I haven't been as perfectly present in here as I normally am. This past week, I have been hanging out with Goose and a bunch of other super cool community peeps at Skool IRLs. First up was co-hosting the event here in Los Angeles last Saturday and Sunday... then it was a quick jaunt over to Phoenix, Arizona (Scottsdale actually) to co-host that event with my good friends Dr. Stephen and Jamie. Tomorrow one more stop down in San Diego to wrap up the trifecta. Enough about that for now and more to come later. But it has come to my attention with some new HuRUs in the house that maybe we should do a quick story about what the heck a HuRU is anyway. This is a great question @Krista Melanson, thank you for asking. So.... Away we Goooo! It all started with something my friend, Dr. Stephen (yep the same one mentioned above) — a fellow community builder — once said about how to create truly great communities. He shared that “your members should feel like they’re sitting in your living room — you’re the host, not some kind of guru.” That line stuck with me. Because honestly, who wants to hang out with a guru anyway? So I thought — don’t be a guru… be a host who maybe knows some stuff. Not a GURU, but a HuRU. And just like that, the idea expanded. Because what happens when you invite people into your “living room”? You meet nice people. You make friends. You share stories. You learn a little, laugh a lot, and help each other grow. And you build COOL Communities! And naturally, when people meet for the first time, the question always comes up: “Hu R U?” So there you have it — HuRU in its full double entendre glory. And naturally all the silly HuRU "Dr. Seuss Style" rhyming was just a natural by-product. Now that you’re here, welcome to the Crew. Pull up a seat, grab your favorite drink, and tell us (if you haven’t already) — or even if you have —

Crazy Crew Question: What did you eat today?
We all have our go-to foods that we eat routinely. I'm definitely one of those people that can eat the same thing day after day just because it's convenient. So tell me – what did you eat today?
