I might be building something stupid.

Here’s the idea: AI software that detects if a video is real or AI-generated.

The problem? Deepfakes are getting insane. Insurance fraud. Fake evidence in court. CEO impersonation scams.

The solution? Upload any video → our AI tells you if it’s legit or fake.

But here’s what I’m worried about:

• Detection tech becomes outdated every 6 months

• Big companies (Microsoft, Google) might just give this away for free

• What if nobody actually has this problem yet?

So I’m asking YOU:

Is this a real problem you’d pay to solve?

Or am I chasing something that sounds cool but isn’t actually needed?

Honest answers only. I’d rather hear “terrible idea” now than waste 2 years building something nobody wants.
