Thoughts on Productivity
I've recently read something about Productivity and focus. "We'll be more productive and focused, when we align our goals with our natural rhythms, not by fighting against our brain with discipline, motivation and strict schedules" Also, Ali Abdaal talks about this in his book "Feel Good Productivity" (Got introduced to this topic, when writing Email sequence about Focus and Productivity coaching) What's your point on this? Let's discuss.
Thoughts on Productivity
Read this whether you're a content creator or not 🙏
Recently, we met up with a fellow creator friend who's been following HOL for a while. He told us one thing that I think is so powerful, I wish every content creator would hear it: There are 2 types of content: - Content that’s relatable to a lot of people, so it gets tons of likes, shares, and comments. - Content that doesn’t relate to everyone, but to the right people, it hits so deeply that they never forget it. - Neither is better or worse—we actually need both. One helps you grow wide. The other helps you grow deep. But here’s the truth:At House of Leaders, we’ve leaned too much into the first kind. That’s why our engagement is strong. That’s why over a million people follow us around the world. But at the same time… we’ve realized something important: Most people remember us for motivational quotes. Not for our deeper message. Not for our work in helping creators and leaders build a personal brand that reflects who they really are. And that’s on us. So here’s a gentle reminder—for ourselves, and maybe for you too: Don’t just aim to be seen. Aim to be remembered. Don’t just create what’s shareable. Create what’s unshakable. Something that lingers. That changes how someone sees themselves. That speaks to the right people, even if it's not for everyone. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about chasing virality. It's about building something that matters. We’re reminding ourselves of that. And maybe… you needed the reminder too.
Insights from Call with Meta Representative
About a month ago, I had a chance to hop on a call with a Meta representative from Southeast Asia (since I’m based here). She shared a few tips on how to grow more effectively on Instagram and I thought I'd share them here: 1. Consistency isn’t just about how often you post—it’s also about what you post.If you’re posting reels on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and then a carousel on Thursday, try to follow that same format every week. Instagram favors pattern and rhythm. 2. Don’t delete underperforming posts too quickly. Most content still gets shared or picked up three days after it’s posted. What looks quiet on Day 1 could quietly blow up by Day 4. 3. Reels are still your best bet for reach. If growth is your goal, lean into them. They're currently the most effective format to attract new eyes to your page. 4. Reply to comments and dm. It's not just about being kind—it’s about being visible. Engagement tells the algorithm you’re active, responsive, and building community. — Hope this helps you out as much as it helped me. If you're experimenting with your own content rhythm right now, I’d love to hear what’s working for you too. Let’s grow together. 🚀
