Recently, we met up with a fellow creator friend who's been following HOL for a while. He told us one thing that I think is so powerful, I wish every content creator would hear it:
There are 2 types of content:
  • Content thatโ€™s relatable to a lot of people, so it gets tons of likes, shares, and comments.
  • Content that doesnโ€™t relate to everyone, but to the right people, it hits so deeply that they never forget it.
Neither is better or worseโ€”we actually need both. One helps you grow wide. The other helps you grow deep.
But hereโ€™s the truth:At House of Leaders, weโ€™ve leaned too much into the first kind. Thatโ€™s why our engagement is strong. Thatโ€™s why over a million people follow us around the world.
But at the same timeโ€ฆ weโ€™ve realized something important:
Most people remember us for motivational quotes. Not for our deeper message. Not for our work in helping creators and leaders build a personal brand that reflects who they really are.
And thatโ€™s on us.
So hereโ€™s a gentle reminderโ€”for ourselves, and maybe for you too:
Donโ€™t just aim to be seen. Aim to be remembered. Donโ€™t just create whatโ€™s shareable. Create whatโ€™s unshakable. Something that lingers. That changes how someone sees themselves. That speaks to the right people, even if it's not for everyone.
Because at the end of the day, itโ€™s not about chasing virality. It's about building something that matters.
Weโ€™re reminding ourselves of that. And maybeโ€ฆ you needed the reminder too.
