Recently, we met up with a fellow creator friend who's been following HOL for a while. He told us one thing that I think is so powerful, I wish every content creator would hear it:
There are 2 types of content:
- Content thatās relatable to a lot of people, so it gets tons of likes, shares, and comments.
- Content that doesnāt relate to everyone, but to the right people, it hits so deeply that they never forget it.
Neither is better or worseāwe actually need both. One helps you grow wide. The other helps you grow deep.
But hereās the truth:At House of Leaders, weāve leaned too much into the first kind. Thatās why our engagement is strong. Thatās why over a million people follow us around the world.
But at the same time⦠weāve realized something important:
Most people remember us for motivational quotes. Not for our deeper message. Not for our work in helping creators and leaders build a personal brand that reflects who they really are.
And thatās on us.
So hereās a gentle reminderāfor ourselves, and maybe for you too:
Donāt just aim to be seen. Aim to be remembered. Donāt just create whatās shareable. Create whatās unshakable. Something that lingers. That changes how someone sees themselves. That speaks to the right people, even if it's not for everyone.
Because at the end of the day, itās not about chasing virality. It's about building something that matters.
Weāre reminding ourselves of that. And maybe⦠you needed the reminder too.
