Hey everyone. I am from south central Alaska and am happy to be here. Having been raised on a homestead and currently living on a semi-homestead I am happy to connect with other like minded folks. Can't wait to get to know you all. I love sharing my knowledge and love helping others. And before you ask, YES, I actually know the Raney's. Grew up with them and Marty/Mollee are like an awesome aunty and uncle for me.

Hi everyone, we have a tone of new comers here and I've been absent. I want you all to know that I will be returning this week, I've been really busy with some big markest I did and working off the farm. I'm taking this entire next week off so I can focus on the farm and my social media. Please if you haven't introduce yourselves and your new please do, feel free to share where your at in the journey and please ask any questions or voice any concerns you'd have in the questions section as I will be looking there daily. I have actually turned on notifications for this app, I try not to do that, so I don't forget about it.

I'll go first, my name is Megan, I live on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada on a little 2 acre homestead we call Sun Twist Acres. I've been homesteading for almost 15 years, we grow a majority of our own food and preserve it here on the homestead. We have chickens and ducks for eggs and meat, and goats for milk and meat. We have raised pigs, turkeys, and geese in the past. I teach, canning, basic cooking skills, soapmaking, cheese making, bread making, gardening, animal husbandry, and more. Through this community I hope to pass on the knowledge I have spent many years perfecting so others who dream of a life like this can achieve it. Finally got the starters planted and the ones I had to buy. What’s everyone else’s garden looking like? Excited for anything? We happened to find the peppers they use in Tabasco sauce and my oldest son and I are going to attempt to make some.
