It's definitely time!!
If your green thumb is starting to itch scratch it! Did you know onion seeds need to be started 10-12 weeks before you last average frost date? And it also a great time to start some cooler weather crops like lettuce and bock choy.
Set up a simple nursery area, a table or shelf will do, somewhere warm. I have mine in my living room because I have a good space for it and it's best for me to keep an eye on them. I use a heat mat which I definitely recomend, mine is big enough for 4 10×20 grow trays. Something to grow in, if you don't want to spend money egg cartons work well, just make sure to keep them moist because they dry out fast. Then some potting soil, I use pro mix, seeds, and lables. A lid on top of these will help keep the soil moist, I also keep a spray bottle on hand and spray them a couple times a day.
Get your seeds in the dirt and in a few days to a week, or longer depending on what your growing you'll see them poke out of the soil.
