Simplifying the idea of "mindset"
If you look up the definition of "mindset", you'll see about 100 different definitions that all speak to similar things, yet, if you're like me, you'll find they're all overly complicated. For me, I like to think of mindset as "the story you tell yourself." Whether it be about health, finances, relationships, food, spirituality, etc., the "story" we tell ourselves, based on the beliefs we believe and the language we use with ourselves leads to the experience of life we have externally. One of my favorite exercises for this I call "storywork" where we get our stories out on paper and analyze the language, beliefs, etc., inherent within them. If you feel called, what's one "story" you've been telling yourself that you can identify is not the highest expression of the story you could be telling yourself? I'd love to hear what you guys identify in the comments as even just typing these stories out and illuminating what's going on in the background of our lives can be extremely healing and it's quick and free!
