There was a time when self-care felt oddly stressful.
Like if I didn’t do it consistently … Correctly … Or see results fast enough …
I was somehow doing that wrong too.
Instead of feeling supported, I felt watched by my own expectations.
What helped wasn’t more discipline — it was permission.
Permission to adjust my self-care based on how I actually felt, not how I thought I should feel.
Some days that looked like rest.
Some days movement.
Some days I choose nothing on purpose.
Care doesn’t work when it’s performative. It works when it’s honest.
💛 When did self-care start feeling like pressure for you?
