The Empath
Many can relate to the plight that being an empath can be. But I have good news for you. Being an empath is a trauma response. It’s not something you have to be or experience forever. Essentially empaths are using clairsentience (clear feeling) but not managing it. They’re tapping into everyone’s energetic field and not tapping out. Using techniques like Aaron’s frame technique you can learn to exist from your energetic space only. You can even get to a point where you recognize someone’s vibration without tapping into it at all. Another factor is switching the energy you’re giving to people from. Yes, you should treat others how you want to be treated but treating people a certain way in order to receive said treatment is a form of manipulation. That’s felt on some level. Give because it feels good to give and it brightens the world when you give. Give to make someone’s day better. Don’t even contemplate receiving anything in return. A huge one is self love. Give yourself all the affection and attention and praise and approval that you give others. Fill your own cup the way you’d wish for the world to fill it. Not so they do but because you deserve it and why wouldn’t you give yourself all those things? Romance yourself! And last thing I’ll touch on is boundaries. Empaths have none. Practice saying no to anything and everything you even remotely feel like passing on. And hold firm on those nos. Create time for you to be alone and don’t let anything infringe on that time. Treat your vessel and energetic field like the temple of the soul that it is and honor when you need space. Pay attention to how you feel around people and determine the time you spend with them based off that.
All of this is coming from someone who used to be an empath so I swear by this.
