When we begin to heal our inner child, we are not opening a small personal chapter — we are opening a door that has been closed across generations.
What so many of us are feeling right now are not “new” emotions. They are old layers finally coming into view, finally being given space to be seen. Emotions that once had no safe place, that were swallowed, adapted, or pushed down in order to survive.
And often we discover something that goes deeper than our personal story: our fears and patterns do not always feel like they belong only to us. They carry echoes of our ancestors, like a silent lineage of experiences still moving through the present moment.
When we heal, we are often guided precisely to where that lineage becomes visible.
For me, this became very concrete.
Speaking openly about my spirituality brought something into motion that I later recognized as the “witch wound.” It touched not only my throat chakra, where truth and expression live, but also my heart chakra — because being visible in my truth was both vulnerable and liberating.
Starting my own business opened another layer. It activated my solar plexus and sacral chakra: the place of creation, self-worth, and life force energy. Writing — and therefore creating — became not only expression, but also empowerment.
And as I continued writing, especially about deep and painful subjects such as abuse, I felt my heart opening again and again. As if words themselves became a form of healing, layer by layer.
Fear of scarcity also surfaced. Not only as something personal, but as something older. An echo of ancestral survival, of generations who had to hold on tightly in order to exist. By staying present with this, something began to shift within that old sense of lack.
And then there is the mother wound.
That layer did not belong only to me, but to something that was passed down. An emotional line visible as something my mother carried, but also my grandmother, and the women before her in the same stream. Not to carry blame, but to finally be able to see and soften the pattern.
In this way, healing becomes something far greater than personal growth.
It becomes a form of awareness within the lineage itself.
What you touch within yourself is given the chance to move through everything that came before you. What was stuck can begin to breathe. What was repeated can begin to change.
Healing is then not only something you do.
It is something that moves through you — for those who have not yet been able to feel what you are now able to feel.
We do not heal only for ourselves.
We heal through ourselves.
And in that realization, every step becomes both deeply personal and profoundly collective.
