One thing I’ve learned over the years is this:
Both low-carb and moderate-carb diets can work for fat loss.
The mistake people make is turning either one into a religion.
With High-Intensity Training, we are asking the body to recover from very brutal workouts. That means recovery, performance, sleep, hormones, and muscle retention all matter.
Very low carb can absolutely tighten you up quickly:
• less water retention
• lower appetite
• faster scale drop
But over time, many people notice:
• weaker workouts
• flatter muscles
• worse recovery
• lower energy
On the other hand, moderate carbs often help:
• training intensity
• muscle fullness
• recovery
• gym performance
Especially for hard-training people over 40.
The truth is, calories still matter. But hormones, recovery, and sustainability matter too.
That’s why I don’t believe in extremes.
I believe in strategic nutrition that supports REAL training performance and long-term progress.
That’s exactly why I created the CARB300 Manual.
It’s available now inside the Premium Course Section here in Heavy Duty Nation.
