The night I was terrified to play guitar…

Even as a music major, I couldn’t play a single song when someone asked.

I’ll never forget being at a party my first year of college. Guitar in the corner. A few people joked, “Jake, are you gonna play something?”

I laughed it off, but inside my heart sank.

Truth was…I couldn’t play a song to save my life.

Fast forward to today…and now I get to help adults who thought it was “too late” really learn guitar.

Watching them go from scared to confident, from hiding to playing full songs for friends and family…it still blows my mind.
